The developers of the Master Lu benchmark application published updated consolidated ratings for the first quarter – for mobile SoCs, for smartphone performance and for the smoothness of main mobile interfaces. And they have a lot of interesting things.

Let’s start with the platform ratings. The first places in it are naturally occupied by Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 870, and the first is by a wide margin. But the fact that MediaTek 1200 made it to the Top 3 is a bit unexpected: it even surpassed the Kirin 9000. Huawei’s flagship platform is losing ground, and this is very sad, because due to US sanctions, Huawei will have nothing better in the near future , and the stock of those Kirin 9000s is coming to an end – and this will affect the production volume of Huawei P50. Snapdragon 845 closes the rating – even today this platform looks quite cheerful and provides good performance. Not surprisingly, Xiaomi has promised to release the MIUI 12.5 update for its older Snapdragon 845 flagships.

At the same time, MIUI did not enter the Top 10 rating of mobile devices shells at all. Although her sister Joy UI 12.5, used in Black Shark models, still made her way to 10th place. And the Top 3 were assigned to ColorOS, RealmeUI and EMUI.

The Best smartphone in terms of performance are the gaming models on Snapdragon 888 – Asus ROG Phone 5, Black Shark 4 Pro and Nubia Red Devil 6 Pro. The fourth place was secured by not a gaming, but rather powerful smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra – it demonstrates excellent performance due to a complex but effective cooling subsystem. Also in the Top 10, Redmi K40 Pro + made its way – one of the cheapest flagships on Snapdragon 888.
We would like to note that MIUI has not been distinguished by quality for a long time. The latest Xiaomi smartphones, apart from the rise in price, do not fundamentally change anything. We would like to hope that in 2021 this situation will be corrected and we will see some really interesting new models.
